Nearly there yet: Move On

Work in Development, Ideas Stage Work

"Sorry, sorry, I’ll be out of your hair in a minute." So begins ‘Move on’, in which a highly skilled British circus performer has been forced to take a job cleaning theatre dressing rooms in Budapest. As the piece unfolds, his frustration becomes clear. Confined, misplaced, overlooked, misunderstood – and unable to fully express himself in this tiny space (as we are constantly reminded) he complains to an audience of one: “I wish you spoke English, it would make my situation so much easier to explain”.
Developed with Director/writer Umar Ahmed.
